Writing & Audiobook Updates

I hope the new year has been treating all of you EXCELLENTLY.

Fortunately, [personally], I’ve been doing really well. I spent all of December doing research and started working on my next book at the beginning of the month. I had so much planned, I had so many notes, my boards were ready to go…

Anddddd about a week in, my trusty old gut had me second-guessing myself. Anytime my instincts tell me to do something else (or not to do something), I’ve learned to listen. Literally every thing I’ve ever regretted or wished I had done differently have all been things that I ignored my gut over. So, I started writing again with Plan B even though part of my soul cried at the idea of wasting so much research.

(But then I got another idea for a future book I could write using the same information, and now feel better about it.)

So all in all, I still feel like I’m doing the right thing. I’ve already hit my word count for the month, so you won’t hear any complaints from me. Wish me luck my gut doesn’t decide to do something else next month, haha. I promise, I'm not secretive about what I'm working on for some weird reason. I just change my mind a lot about what I want to do, and what works best/most honestly for my characters changes as I flesh them out more and more. I don't want to promise one idea and then deliver something else, but at the same time, I don't want to force something that isn't working, you know? Either way, I'm pretty damn onboard for Plan B.

What else?

Recording for the LUNA AND THE LIE audiobook started a few days ago, so if all goes well, it should be coming out maybe sometime in March. Because the book is so long, we’ve estimated it’ll take about 6 days for recording, production takes a while too, then I have to listen to it, and finally, Audible usually takes its time approving and uploading it for sale. I’m super excited to hear how it comes out!

More LUNA news: The paperback came out a few weeks ago, and there’s a pre-order for signed copies up on my book store now. Hopefully I should be getting those copies within the next two weeks.

I’ve added one more date to my 2019 signings: COPA Authors in New York in August. (For information, you can find links for all my signings in the EVENTS tab up top.) There are a couple of 2020 signings I’ll add soon, too.

That’s all I can think of for now. <3
